ScooterCON History

In December of 2006 The Scooter Resource hosted the first San Diego Freestyle Scooter Competition in collaboration with the Mission Valley YMCA Skatepark which became known as “SD1”. In the years to follow, the SD series grew to be one of the premiere international events in the industry. After SD5, with the sheer number of competitors, spectators and vendors in attendance it became apparent that the event had transcended a traditional freestyle scooter competition and was naturally evolving into something so much more.

San Diego, California is no stranger to trade shows and conventions so it was only natural to allow the evolution of the event to follow the path of so many others. SD6 marked the first year that the event is not only geared and promoted towards the riders and competitors but also towards the industry and business that are helping this sport grow and thrive. Whether you are there to compete, show off your products or just watch the event and browse the company booths, we invite you to join us at Scootercon SD12!
